MARKETING AND MANAGEMENT FOR THE CREATIVE COMMUNITY
Like a real big sister, I'm caring and supportive. And also a little bit bossy.
NEW! Transcription Services
Need that interview transcribed?
Dictated The Great American Novel?
Big Sister has gone back to the future and re-connected with one of my favorite gigs: transcribing interviews and dictation. I just installed state-of-the-art dictation/interview transcription software and equipment and can now offer transcription services — just send me the mp3 or CD, tell me how you'd like the finished product to look, and we're off! My many years in publishing, academia, marketing, and legal work can help your interview, novel, personal notes, correspondence, song lyrics — whatever you have recorded — get the professional transcription you need. Email me for more information and to get on the schedule. (Yeah, I look just like this ... )

I'm Sue Havlish, a still-hippie-chick-at-heart marketing and management pro from the world of publishing, who added music and other creative outlets to my sphere when I moved to Nashville, Tennessee. I started Big Sister Productions to help manage and market the work of creative entrepreneurs — partnering with talented, passionate musicians, writers, designers, radio hosts, and other creators and small business owners to help make their visions their realities.
Services include business planning and budgeting, media and market research, project management, marketing consultation, media and market outreach, project analysis, and strategic planning. To learn more, please see the Services page.
Why "Big Sister"? Well, I tell my clients that, like a real big sister, I'm caring and supportive—but also a little bit bossy.
Whether you're starting out or starting over, I'm here to help.

Yes, I'm a real big sister, too -- I'm the one on the left, frowning in mild disapproval at my smiling siblings: Mark, Lynn & Kit. Elkhart, Indiana, first day of school, 1963.
